Here you will find a traditional butchers, village stores and cosy inns. Don’t forget to look out for the New Forest ponies and cattle as they roam freely around the village. Although these animals might look and act wild, they are in fact all owned by locals using their commoner’s rights.
Lyndhurst: Visitors can expect a right royal welcome to the delightful New Forest village of Lyndhurst. This buzzing village in the heart of the New Forest offers wonderful days out wandering the long high street for some shopping, exploring and relaxing in the nearby open forest and enjoying delicious food and drink in local pubs and cafes, watching the world go by day and night.
Lymington: The historic, coastal town of Lymington offers plenty for the visitor to the New Forest. This colourful and vibrant town is an ancient seaport with a rich maritime history, and with so much to see and do. Learn about the rich heritage of the town, enjoy some retail therapy, treat yourself to delicious food and drink and relax by the water. Situated on the west bank of the Lymington River, on the edge of the Solent, Lymington is a major yachting centre with three marinas.
