MONDAY : Departing from the Island you start to make your way up to the North Yorkshire Moors making a comfort stop on the way
TUESDAY: After breakfast we board our coach and set off for Pickering where you will have free time to explore, before the North York Moors steam railway. Before you board your train explore Pickering Station which is a must-see 1930’s themed station which will transport you back in time to the steam era. Once you board your train, experience the age of steam and see the beautiful vistas of the North York Moors National Park! We will take your group on a journey they will never forget! Your coach will then meet you in Goathland . Don’t miss the celebrity station, which became Hogsmeade Station in the first Harry Potter film. Depart hotel 09.30am.
WEDNESDAY: Today after breakfast grab your Garlic as we first of all head for the ruins of Whitby Abbey which crowns a clifftop over the historic fishing port of Whitby. The headland has hosted St Hild’s Anglo-Saxon monastery, the great medieval abbey and a Stuart mansion, and it’s long been the focus of myths and legends. The lost abbey bells are still heard beneath the waves, and how a real shipwreck helped inspire Dracula, which in turn has made Whitby the ‘Goth capital’ of England. Later on we will go on to the ancient seaport of Whitby, which is a beautiful and picturesque natural harbour situated on England’s North East Coast. It is essentially a town of two parts divided by the River Esk, and Whitby’s natural geographic situation has shaped both its historical and commercial past and continues to influence its culture to the present day. THURSDAY : Today we depart after breakfast and head for the town of Filey which has a mix of independent boutiques, charming gift shops and traditional seaside stores, Filey offers a unique shopping experience. The town’s friendly atmosphere makes it a perfect place to browse for special items, whether you’re looking for a souvenir, local produce, or something special for yourself. Later we move on to Bridlington, step back in time and immerse yourself in the charming world of Bridlington Old Town. This picturesque part of town boasts cobbled streets, quaint shops, and historic sites that transport you to a bygone era. Whether you’re a fan of history, culture, or simply seeking a peaceful getaway, Bridlington Old Town has something for everyone. Depart hotel 09.30am
FRIDAY: After breakfast you board your coach and wave goodbye to the Delmont Hotel and Scarborough as we start to make our way home. Depart hotel 09.30am
