We want everyone to enjoy our coach day excursions, and have been working hard to give you day trips filled with new destinations and old favourites. We understand the importance of comfort when travelling on coach journeys, which is why at Opal Travel Group all our trips are made using modern spacious coaches that have your comfort in mind.
If a trip is fully booked, we will make a list of those interested in case there are any cancellations.
We would like to hear from groups, organisations and individuals where they would like to visit in future excursions .

CAMDEN TOWN is known for the world famous CAMDEN MARKET as well as it’s alternative culture scene. Camden Market is located within a maze of flag-stoned and cobbled lanes, railway arches and historical horse tunnels. Mixing together a vibrant array of traders, with everything from fashion, footwear, jewellery, home wares, art and antiques. Climb aboard traditional narrowboats in Camden Market and take a scenic trip to Little Venice. Take your seat as you cruise up London’s historic waterways, through Maida Hill Tunnel and Regents Park.

Highclere Castle has been transformed from its roots in Anglo Saxon Times to a medieval palace, a Tudor place house, a Georgian house and today this iconic Victorian Castle. It sits within a park designed by Capability Brown in the eighteenth century. Explore the original Monk’s Garden, the Secret Garden, the White Border, the Wood of Goodwill, the Rose Arbour, the Wild Flower Meadow and, nearer the Castle, the Healing Herb garden.
Downton Abbey has charmed over 400 million people around the world and Highclere has been so fortunate to have been part of the journey. Of all the much-love fictional characters the Castle plays its starring role beautifully – even if we are all slightly biased! the first Downton Abbey television series was filmed in 2010 at Highclere Castle and continued for six years followed by a number of films! There are between 250 and 300 rooms in the Castle Saloon and during your tour you will explore the main state rooms so familiar from “Downtown Abbey”. You will see some of the bedrooms.

Any time of the year is a great time to visit Kew Gardens as you can find a ton of events throughout the year. One of the first and biggest recurring events is the annual orchid festival, where the greenhouses of Kew are transformed into a floral spectacle with countless of orchid species on display, with the theme changing every year in summer, Kew Gardens is in full bloom. Burley: Tea rooms, gift shops, art galleries – even a cider farm! Burley features everything you would expect from a traditional New Forest village. Oozing old world charm, with ponies and cattle roaming around the village and pretty thatched cottages, Burley has remained untouched by time. Here you will find a traditional butchers, village stores and cosy inns. Don’t forget to look out for the New Forest ponies and cattle as they roam freely around the village. Although these animals might look and act wild, they are in fact all owned by locals using their commoner’s rights.
Lyndhurst: Visitors can expect a right royal welcome to the delightful New Forest village of Lyndhurst. This buzzing village in the heart of the New Forest offers wonderful days out wandering the long high street for some shopping, exploring and relaxing in the nearby open forest and enjoying delicious food and drink in local pubs and cafes, watching the world go by day and night.
Lymington: The historic, coastal town of Lymington offers plenty for the visitor to the New Forest. This colourful and vibrant town is an ancient seaport with a rich maritime history, and with so much to see and do. Situated on the west bank of the Lymington River, on the edge of the Solent, Lymington is a major yachting centre with three marinas.
