Itinerary

Departing from the Island we to make our way up to Lancaster making

 Day one    Departing from the Island we to make our way up to Lancaster making  a couple of comfort stops on the way before arriving at the at the Holiday Inn for our over night stay.

 Day two . Departing after breakfast we  head for Scotland once over the border we make a stop at the famous Scottish village of Gretna Green.. and  is possibly the most romantic place in Scotland, if not in the UK. This small Scottish village has become synonymous with runaway lovers and weddings over the anvil… We then continue  to  Gourock to catch the ferry over to Dunoon for our stay of 4 nights at the Esplanade Hotel .Depart hotel 09.30am

Day Three After breakfast to day we head for Loch Lomond  making  a stop at The  Rest and be Thankful  which is a stunning mountain pass viewpoint which divides Glen Kinglas from Glen Croe. We then make our way to the village of to Luss  Which was the setting for the TV series Take the High Road )and  has  a delightful mix of natural beauty, history, and charm. Nestled on the western shores of Loch Lomond, this picturesque village is a favourite destination for both locals and tourists.  With its quaint cottages, flower-filled gardens, and breathtaking views of the loch create an enchanting atmosphere.  Later on we continue on to Loch Lomond Shores which is truly unique with  a blend of great shopping, outdoor activities and buzzing restaurants and cafes.  Add to this our stunning setting on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond, and we offer an experience nowhere else in Scotland does.  Depart Hotel at 09.30am

Day Four To day after breakfast we travel along  the classic Scottish west coast route which takes  us by Loch Eck to the shores of Loch Fyne and Inverary, which was in established in 1745 by the 3rd Duke of Argyll, head of the Clan Campbell, Inveraray is the traditional county town of Argyll, with stunning Georgian architecture overlooking Loch Fyne.. Later  on we go on to Tarbert which nestled on the sheltered shores of Loch Fyne, Tarbert is a picturesque fishing village and acts as the gateway to the beautiful Kintyre peninsula along the Kintyre 66 route. Tabert’s attractive natural harbour is best appreciated from Robert the Bruce’s 14th-century castle above the town is still home to a working fishing fleet. It is an increasingly popular destination for the yachting fraternity,     Depart Hotel at 09.30am

Day five  Today after breakfast  we set off for Oban  making a stop at the famous Green Welly Stop at Tyndrum. We then continue on to Oban – the principal town on the west coast and port for many of the ferry services Oban enchants visitors with its rugged charm and maritime allure. Known as the “Gateway to the Isles,” this historic town serves as a vibrant hub for exploration. Immerse yourself in its rich Gaelic culture, where traditional music echoes through quaint streets lined with cozy pubs and artisanal shops. Oban’s crowning jewel, McCaig’s Tower, offers panoramic views of the bay and surrounding islands,    Depart Hotel at 09.30am

 Day six    Departing after breakfast we make our way back to catch the ferry back to Gourock. We then carry on to  Largs, which is  a charming seaside town on Scotland’s west coast, is known for its stunning views across the Firth of Clyde, historic connections to Viking battles, and classic seaside charm. Located just an hour from Glasgow, Largs is a popular destination for day-trippers and holidaymakers alike. With its beautiful promenade, famous ice cream parlours, and historic landmarks. Later on we make our way back down to England and our  over night stay again at the Holiday Inn Hotel at Lancaster.  Day Seven Today leaving after breakfast we continue back down to Southampton arriving  middle of the afternoon to catch our ferry back to the Island.
